Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She was raised as part of an ethnically diverse family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim, a Malaysian. Jacqueline is the youngest of two brothers and one older brother. In the wake of turmoil in the country, her parents relocated to Bahrain in the early 1980s. She was given a scholarship to go to in the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia following the completion of her education in Bahrain. Having a passion for the world of languages and cultures, she took part in the Berlitz school of languages, where she learned to speak Spanish as well as improve her French as well as Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was title in the month of March, 2006; she also participated in Miss Universe 2006 In the wake of her winning the 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone made her debut on television and hosted a program about Sri Lankan businesses known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the daughter of badminton players Prakash Padukone) was born and raised in Bangalore. In her teens, Padukone competed in national championships of badminton at both the regional and international level. But, she resigned from the game to make a profession as a designer. Padukone is of Mangalorean origin Her mother language is Konkani. Padukone is located in the Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone is her father and was a badminton player with international recognition. Her mother is a travel agent.
